Celebrating Marilyn Monroe's birthday in association with MGM

To
celebrate screen goddess Marilyn Monroe's birthday, County
Hall Gallery is holding a gala birthday weekend dedicated to
the enduring Hollywood star, culminating with a glamorous film
event.
Visitors
will be treated to an exclusive MGM screening of Hollywood
classic Some Like It Hot amid Marilyn Monroe: Life of
a Legend - the spectacular exhibition currently showing at County
Hall Gallery.
SCREENING
Marilyn steals the screen from cross-dressing Tony Curtis and Jack
Lemmon with an explosive performance as the saucy Sugar Kane in
Some Like It Hot, screening at County Hall Gallery on Marilyn's
birthday, June 1st. Hosted by the UK's most acclaimed Marilyn lookalike,
Suzie Kennedy, and screened in association with MGM,
the film pinnacles a weekend of birthday celebrations for the original
blonde bombshell. In addition to the film, the night will include
complimentary drinks, a Q&A panel of Marilyn experts and exhibition
entry.

PHOTO OPPORTUNITY
Stunning Marilyn Monroe look-alike Suzie Kennedy will be
jumping out of a giant pink birthday cake to mark the birthday
of her muse. The photo opportunity will be taking place at 11am
on Sunday June 1st at County Hall Gallery. Suzie Kennedy will later
host the film event and mingle with visitors as Marilyn Monroe.

MONROE: LIFE OF A LEGEND
As a tribute to her lasting popularity this extraordinary exhibition
charts every stage of the bittersweet story of Monroe's life and
career.
Showcasing
more than 250 Marilyn-inspired works from over 70 famous
artists and renowned photographers, alongside films, memorabilia
and a drawing by the youthful Norma Jeane, Marilyn Monroe: Life
of a Legend is the largest collection of its kind to be shown
in the UK.
Featuring
works by renowned artists such as Andy Warhol, Allan Jones,
Peter Blake, Richard Avedon and Henri Cartier-Bresson,
as well as previously unseen works by Corinna Holthusen,
Antonio de Felipe, José de Guimaraes, Richard Lindner
and Ernesto Tatafiore, the exhibition is a must for all Marilyn
fans and runs until September 14th.
